On his 18th birthday, Waxahachie Guard & ProSkills vet, CJ Noland announced his commitment, via all his social media platforms! (Watch video below)
We caught up with CJ & asked him what his 3 main reasons for choosing Oklahoma were..
“1 .It was the best fit of all the colleges recruiting me. 2. I love their culture. 3. It’s the perfect distance away from home.”
We also caught up with ProSkills CEO & Director, Jeff Webster, a Former OU standout. Here’s what he had to say about CJ’s commitment.
“(He’s) a coach’s dream. A better kid than basketball player, but an elite player. A privilege to have him a part of the ProSkills family.”
Here’s more on the recruiting process with OU from CJ’s Dad, Belvis Noland
“I would say with OU the difference in recruiting was evident in how “naturally” inviting they were each time. It never changed. As well as how we were able to identify each time that they actually did their homework on CJ. My wife always felt and said: “They didn’t use the obvious…they were proactive. They anticipated what they thought and felt we all “needed” as parents, as a player, as a family unit, encompassing CJs desires: present and future.” We always were left feeling: they are good people and the big home run with all of this the head coach (L. Kruger was hands on the throughout the entire process)..I know that help solidify CJs trust in OU.. I know when the head coach is involved that means they are serious about you becoming apart of their program. We are proud of CJs decision.”
Congrats to CJ and his family on his commitment. Best of luck on your senior season at Waxahachie and beyond!
